My Story and work until now

I was born in India in 1980. I did not grow up in a Christian family, but by the grace of God, Jesus revealed Himself to our family in a powerful way.

When I was 10 years old, God performed a miracle in my father’s life. Through that miracle, our family came to know Jesus Christ. Later, we committed our lives fully to Him. Looking back, I can truly say that it was the grace of God that brought us out of darkness and into His marvelous light.

In 1999, I received the call of God for full-time missions. I recommitted my life to Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior and said yes to His call. I did not fully understand what full-time missions would look like, but I knew God was calling me, and I wanted to obey Him.

That same year, I joined Mahima Christian Fellowship in Mumbai, India, where God opened the door for me to begin serving in ministry. In January 2000, I completed my Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission in India. From there, I continued serving with YWAM until December 2023.

Over the years, God allowed me to serve in many areas of ministry, including missions, discipleship, leadership development, church planting, pastoral ministry, training, preaching, teaching, and outreach. I served as a staff member, team leader, director, regional convener, and mission coordinator in different ministry settings.

Every season has been filled with God’s faithfulness. There were joys, challenges, sacrifices, tears, victories, and many moments of seeing lives changed by the power of Jesus Christ.

Today, my heart remains the same: to serve God, reach people, equip believers, and see the Kingdom of God advance in communities and nations.

Dr. Pastor Sanjay Anchan serves the Lord through pastoral ministry, discipleship training, evangelism, refugee ministry, outreach, and global missions. With more than 25 years of ministry and mission experience, his heart is to see people come to know Jesus Christ, believers become activated in their calling, churches strengthened, and communities transformed by the power of the Gospel.

As a pastor, Sanjay serves the local church through preaching, teaching, prayer, pastoral care, leadership, and spiritual guidance. His desire is to help believers grow deeper in their relationship with God and live faithfully according to the Word of God.

As a trainer, he equips churches and believers through practical discipleship, evangelism, leadership development, and mission-focused training. Through trainings such as Go to Grow, he helps believers understand their identity in Christ, share the Gospel with confidence, make disciples, and live as Kingdom influencers in their communities.

Sanjay is also actively involved in refugee ministry, serving families from different nations by building relationships, offering practical help, praying with them, and showing the love of Christ in meaningful ways.

His ministry also includes outreach and open-air evangelism, reaching people in neighborhoods, public places, and communities with the message of Jesus Christ. He believes the Gospel must not remain inside the church building, but must be carried into the streets, homes, cities, and nations.

In addition, Sanjay leads and participates in mission trips to different countries, helping churches and believers engage in global missions. He has a passion to train and lead mission teams, prepare believers for cross-cultural ministry, and see the Kingdom of God advance among the nations.

His ministry focus can be summarized in one statement:

Knowing God. Activating Believers. Transforming Cities. Advancing the Kingdom.

Preaching, teaching, prayer, pastoral care, leadership, and helping believers grow in their walk with Christ.

Equipping believers and churches through practical training in identity, evangelism, discipleship, leadership, and mission.

Serving refugee families through relationships, prayer, practical help, encouragement, and the love of Christ.

Taking the Gospel beyond the church walls into neighborhoods, public places, streets, and communities.

Participating in and leading mission trips to different countries to serve, train, evangelize, and strengthen Kingdom work.

Preparing, training, and leading teams for local and international mission opportunities.
